Harlow Australia Winter Collection

You know that totally rad weekend a few weeks back that I spent at Sugers? Well it wasn't all just wine and shenanigans (and there was lots of that), we also got together and played dress-ups! Harlow sent us some of the pieces from their new season collection and it sure made our weekend even more awesome!

I'd been lusting after quite a few of their new pieces and to see them all in person sealed the deal for me. If you haven't heard of this brand yet, (which I'm SURE you have- have a squiz at me wearing them herehere and here! And with such an explosion in amazing Aussie plus-fashion happening, how could you NOT have heard of them?!) check out these photos! They are fresh, rocking and super easy to wear- that's my kind of fashion baby!

Suger wears: Harlow wrap skirt and Electra blouse

So whats that you say? OH! You're commenting on my fabulous pants aren't you!? These killer Moto Pants have been on my wishlist since Harlow day one! The sold out so fast that I thought I'd never be able to make a pair mine. But yes! With Winter's collection came a re-stock of these slim fit, leather panel, ponte beauties! I've literally lost count of how many times I've worn them in the last few weeks. LOVE!!

Suger and Mel are both wearing one of silky feel Electra blouses, the white one and the gorgeous Don't Cross My Path maxi skirt are my next up favourite items in the range. The skirt is going to go with absolutely everything and both items give that instant chic, pulled together look. And how killer does Desiree look in the Wet 'n' Wild Scuba Leggings what an absolute rockstar!

What's your favourite item from the new collection??

Fatshion Faceoff: Statement ring

I love a good splash of bling. An attention grabbing necklace, chandelier drop earrings or a bold ring, if its shiny and pretty I'm usually sold. I've been cleaning out my wardrbobe lately and actually just found a treasure trove of old statement rings I'd forgotten about so I was super excited about busting out one or two for this weeks challenge.

Dress: City Chic
Jacket: Harlow
Necklace: eQuip
Ring: Colette
Flatforms: Zu

We met up with some friends for dinner last night and as usual, I was running late. I pulled on this super cute City Chic dress and styled it up quickly. I'm actually loving the lightness of the material and the cute little cut, its seen some serious strut time in my high rotation wardrobe lately (see it remixed casual here!).

I picked up these flatforms when I was in Melbourne bargain shopping at Bridge Road. These beauties set me back a grand total of ten bucks! I snapped them up straight away! I adore a wedge and a flatform, you get the sexy leg without the sore feet. I swear my love affair with platforms started when Spice Girls stormed the world- cute little dresses and chunky heels, I wanted in!

Oh, and this funky little bag was a present from my mum, cheeky lady she is! It's awesome for carrying around all that extra stuff you need- my whole normal handbag, iPad and a bottle of wine are stashed in there!

Check out all my babes this week!

Fatshion Faceoff: Shoe boots

I haven't worn these shoe boots in such a long time. In fact, I had to unearth them from a mighty pile of shoes and stored clothes to find them! I remember when I got them I loved the hell out of them (is that even a positive thing to say?! Interpret it as lots of loving)! I hunted for some like this for months! Imagine a female version of David Attenborough stalking the shoe shops. Once found, I wore these babies as often as I could. Yet after a few hours in this outfit I remember why I had reluctantly stored them- epic ball of foot pain! As hot as they are, my feet (I almost wrote 'balls' HA!) are killing me. I either need to invest in some serious gel pads or keep up the search for the perfect pair of shoe boots!

Jacket: Harlow
Top: Kmart
Jeans: Crossroads
Boots: Kmart
Necklace: City Chic
Bracelet: Torrid

I'm obsessed with this Harlow jacket. It's the perfect weight for changing seasons. I'm sure you have heard me complain about the uncharacteristically high temperatures we are having; well with that is coming some chilly evenings. This jacket is lightweight enough that I can carry it with me and wear open in the sun, yet warm enough that I'm ready for that sudden mercury drop. And seriously, it's covered in sequins. Does it get any better than that?!

Floral cut offs are rocking my world right now. I would never have been caught dead in these a few years ago, yet these have barely left my legs in the last few months! Crossroads have some of the cutest little pants and often have awesome sales-  you can pick up pieces for a steal if you keep an eye on the stores!

As always, don't forget to see what all the ladies are up to this week!

OOTD: Afternoon in the city

I wish I had endless funds and could just lunch and sip cocktails all day. Heck, who probably doesn't wish that, at least for a little while?! The beginning of the weekend (or whatever day is the start of 'my weekend'- shift working means I could be working any days, anytime!) is the best: I always love that feeling of hitting the town knowing you have the next couple of days off. I can drink what I want, lunch and sip cocktails, stay up as late as I want and I don't even have to wash my hair if I don't feel like it (TMI anyone??)!! That first night off always has the best feeling of freedom with it! And it's often the one we end up properly hitting the town on.

This particular outfit was worn on the beginning of a very rad weekend off and a night out with some of my girlfriends!

Pants: Harlow
Top: Lily and Lou via Best and Less
Platforms: TBA Shoes
Necklace: Stefan
Clutch: Kmart
(and since it's properly drawing some attention, the bra is from Sara)

I snapped these pictures just as we were leaving (TANGENT: How I wish my hair would stay that perfect for longer. I swear, I start the night with luscious locks and an hour or so later it looks like a lanky mop. I need to try out some new hair products!). I'm all sorts of smiley over these rad Harlow capris, the colour is such a vivid, almost acid green and purple. And they have a proper fly and button closure, something I've missed tailoring-wise since embracing the leggings as pants revolution.

I have been using this clutch like crazy lately. I'm a chronic handbag swapper, so usually swap and change regularly, but you've probably seen this beauty in my last few posts. I love the stud detailing with the basic black; I'd been in desperate need of a more versatile bag like this. There is only so many outfits a bright yellow or pink clutch can go with! And it tones down the boldness of the hot pink belt and wicked purple platforms!  Which by the way, how totally cool are those shoes?!

What's your favourite time of the week??

Fatshion Faceoff: Peter Pan Collar

Being the very organized bloggers that we are (!), us FF girls pick our weekly challengers quite a few months in advance now. The benefit of this is of course no last minute stress about theme picking, the problem is that the top I was totally obsessed about when I choose Peter Pan collar for this week, I'm no longer fussed about! Sooooooo I've gone back through my wardrobe and chosen an old favourite to pair with a new beauty!!

Skirt: Harlow
Peplum Belt: ASOS Curve
Bracelet: Torrid
Flats: Rubi

I have been lusting after pretty much everything on the Harlow website since their launch this year. I finally got my hands on this awesome skirt from Suger when she visited for my birthday party and I've worn it quite a few times since! I love the feel of the material and the smooth silhouette it gives, its really, really great quality. Sizing wise, this is a 20 and I could really do with a size bigger, purely for the grip over my belly, but there is no issues at all with comfort.

I loooooovvveee the print on this awesome Dorothy Perkins top!! It seems to make everything look cute (check it out here!!)! It always makes me think of that Lady GaGa and Beyonce Telephone song. Love it!!!

Make sure you check out all my ladies!!
