One of our newer Aussie plus size brands, Virtu, has just released their summer collection and I'm loving it! The statement prints and bright colour palette is perfect for long days at the beach and summer festivals; these are my six favourite pieces:
(L-R) Draw The Line Top, Sketchy Feather Dress, Leopard and Lace Nightie
The Draw The Line top is so awesome; I can see this with leggings and bold necklaces, rocking out at the markets. I'm loving the Sketchy Feather dress- structured and relaxed all in one.
And they have an amazing PJ range too! This Leopard and Lace Nightie is awesome! The plunging neckline and crossover bust is fabulous- sexy nightwear tick!
(L-R) Cassandra Top, Sofia Capri Pants, Heidi Tank
With summer quickly approaching, I'm always on the lookout for some classic and cute breezy styles. I adore these relaxed and casual mix pieces. The Cassandra top is perfect for the warming weather- the scoop neckline and runching detailing add an adorable twist. I'm totally digging the slim cut Capri pants with studs; I can see this quickly becoming a summer staple! Lastly- I'm loving the Heidi Tank in lipstick pink- rocking!! The cheeky neckline and flowing waist is too cute!
Available in sizes 12-24, I'm sure this collection will be running off the Virtu shelves! AND- checkout their web site for 30% off all the sale stock- my credit card is hanging its little plastic head in shame at me. ;)

OOTD Bestie love and Housewarming
My two best girlfiends have just moved in together and I'm insanely jealous of their house of fun! Here are a few piccys from their house-warming last weekend:
I wore this too cute dress from Evans' Beth Ditto collection. I actually bought this on Ebay from Naomi at Diamonds and Pearls and am so in love with it. It has rad pockets in both sides and a sweetheart bustline- a rocking party dress!
We have been so lucky to have such amazing mates these last few months. We have crashed on many a spare couch and spare room while nomading prior to Trip of a Lifetime. Emma and Anna have been so amazing; I've literally jumped into their beds when they have gotten up so I can snooze after night shift. I just wanted to show a little bit of blog love to these two amazing chiccies; I don't know where I would be without my besties!

Halloween-e-ness
I love dressing up. I seriously use any excuse I can to put on a costume and be an idiot for a few hours. Although not widely celebrated in Australia, there is often a Halloween party or two happening around and in the pubs in the city. Here is a collection of some of my favoiurite costumes at the moment!
Buy Costumes is one of my favourite places to pick up cute costumes. I've bought off them several times and they always fit really true to size. My fav is the little sailor babydoll dress- divine! And of course nothing can beat a zombie or a vampire costume!
Costume Box is the Aussie costume shop I like best. They have a super fast turnaround and a really good collection of Plus size outfits. I'm totally digging the pirate costume; the details on the buckles and bodice are fantastic and really make an outfit pop. Evil Queen black costume is so rad!!! I adore the long cape and puff shoulders. What I wouldn't give to get my hands on it!
Torrid always have a rocking Halloween collection and I'm very guilty of buying some just because I like them (in fact, I 'may' have picked up these last two costumes in the 75% off sale ;). I'm a huge zombie fan and this Miss Living Dead costume is so cool! The Minnie Mouse and Pussycat outfit are too cute an I can't wait to wear them out!
These are my two favourite costumes from the last 12 months:
The first one is from my Zombie Prom 25th birthday this year and the one above was from Halloween last year- there is nothing quite like a murderess referee on a rampage! :)

OOTD: 600 Sounds
I love live music and Summer time in Queensland rocks out with an awesome collection of music festivals. On Friday night, Ben and I scored some tickets to the 600 Sounds; the night concert of the Gold Coast 600.
The line-up was awesome and we rocked the front of the mosh pit, to some of my favourite bands: Bliss N Eso, The Potbelleez, Bag Raiders and Drapht. Best of all, all the artists were Aussie, and nothing is more awesome than beers and local talent!
The Potbellez went off! They were by far our favourites of the night! :)
Bag Raiders blew us out of the water! It was so awesome hearing them live- their energy and enthusiasm gave the whole crowd such a rad vibe. If you haven't heard these guys yet, go check them out!
Ben looking cute in his music tee. And the mosh pit squish!!
Top: Crossroads, Jeggings: Crossroads, Bag: Equip
I wore an outfit entirely from Crossroads. The top was super comfy and mega cute- although I did lose two buttons in the mosh :(
The pants I am super proud of. Jeggings were something I swore I would never wear, but I was never one much for rules anyway ;) Feeling more like skinny jeans, the pants are a thicker than normal jeggings but not as thick as jeans and I felt very rock and roll while listening to some of my favourite bands!
Have you guys ever worn something you swore you wouldn't??

The ugly road to beautiful-ness
Getting my brows and lashes done is definitely my biggest indulgence. I've blogged before about my retarded lashes and I love how I feel when I leave the salon, but it is such an ugly road to get there! Look at these beautifying pics- it's not a pretty sight! Especially the wax pain face! ;)
By the time I book my appointment, my brows are furry, my lashes are wonky and I have some serious bald patches where the old ones have fallen out. After a pamper session with the amazing Lash Me crew- I leave feeling fabulous!
Check out the difference in old left eye to shinny new right eye in this picture!
From furry, baldy and wonky to full, neat and fabulous!
For those who haven't seen before- at the top here is what my normal lashes look like. I feel so glamorous and ready to rock with my Lash Me lashes and I am definitely hooked!!
What's your biggest beauty indulgence??
This is me getting waxed, plucked, tinted and lashed!

Quick OOTD: leopards and tanks
Our house-sitting job has finished up and we have moved into Lizzy and Colins. We are so grateful to all our mates who are giving up couch/bed/space for us to crash before our epic holiday this Christmas.
This is my last outfit post in the old house- and what a better way to finish up than by showing you my moving outfit!

Top and Skirt: Crossroads
I picked up this rad skirt and chilled tank in a massive sale at Crossroads. It's so comfy and an awesome casual outfit. Plus, it easily dresses up with some accessories! I'm loving Crossroads at the moment; they have some really funky outfits at affordable prices. I also picked up a fab-uuu-loous zebra print halter neck dress in the sales and I can't wait to show you!
I've also gone back through my posts and labelled all outfit posts with Outfit Of The Day. If you're interested go back and check them out!

Beauty Box October
October Beauty Box was full of all sorts of goodies! I tried them all out for a couple of days and this is what I thought:
Garnier Body intensive 7 days repairing lotion
I really liked this mostiurizer. It was absorbed quickly, smelt great and my skin felt so lovely and soft afterwards- even after only a few uses!
Biotherm Aquasource moisturiser
Having sensitive skin, I'm really nervous about what I put on my face. This moisturiser calmed my skin after a face scrub and left it feeling soft and supple- I think I'm converted!
Calvin Klein One Shock (his and hers)
I quite like the original CK One but I wasn't fan of these. Ben thought the male scent was a bit overpowering and the female was quite sharp too. Of course perfume is totally personal, so check it out and tell me what you think!
Shiseido sheer matifying foundation
This smoothed out my complexion and provided a really light coverage without the heavy feeling. This is a foundation I will definitely use in the future.
John Frieda full repair body shampoo and conditioner
This was my favourite product in the box. I'm always on the lookout for new hair products and this made my hair feel clean, silky and gave it loads of body and volume!
Did I think box was worth my $14?? Hmmmm. This was my first Beauty Box and for the amount of products I received it dosent compare to the Lust Have It box. I've got an open mind BB, so lets see what comes next month!

Life updated
I know I have been blog-absent lately but it has been a very busy past couple of days! I flew up to Townsville to babysit my niece and nephew over the weekend so my brother and his wife could have a mini holiday AND see the rocking Chris Cornell concert (epic jealousy but I just bought our Big Day Out tickets for 2012 and Soundgarden are headlining!!! whooottt!!! So that makes up for it! ;).
The video on the left shows my excellent babysitting skills- fart machine distraction ohhhh yeah!
Here are a few happy snaps from the weekend:
This is Maddy and Jackson; my adorable and trouble making niece and nephew! They are balls of mischief and we always have an awesome time hanging out together. Although it is definitely anything but a relaxing break, I always come back wanting a day off afterwards!
I love having a bit of girl time with Maddy. She is super creative and loves to experiment with fashions. We always get into lots of craft projects and plenty of costumes and dressing up. On my last night there we went out to dinner and she picked the most glamorous gold sequin dress with matching accessories to wear! Too cute! :)
I ordered my first package from Forever 21 and am waiting with bated breath for it arrive. Here is a few of the goodies I ordered:
I love the rad all over sequin dress and black ruffle dress. I've been dying to rock out in an all over sequin number and the ruffles will look fantastic for racing season here! The sheer skirt I picked up in the 'buy-one-get-one-free' clearance sale- so it came to something like $7! Sweeeettt! The cute little mauve number will transition well from night to day with different accessories and I'm super excited to get it!
On another fashion note, Domino Dollhouse have announced their new collection Dotty Noir. From the sneak peak I've seen on the website and NikStar's blog, it looks like a really young funky twist on classic 1950's pieces. I can't wait to get my hands on some! :)

Save the Ta Ta's!
"By 2015, 15,409 women are projected to be diagnosed with breast cancer in Australia every year – an average of 42 women every day."
- Australian Institute of Health and Welfare 2009October is International Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I've been reading up on alot of scary statistics lately. Being a young Aussie woman (like many of you too), the current figures show that 1 in 9 of us will develop breast cancer in our lifetime*. One in nine! Think about your girlfriends, your work mates, your sisters- that one in nine sure adds up fast doesn't it?
What about these facts:
- Breast cancer is the most common cause of cancer in Australian women
- On average, in 2009, seven women died per day from breast cancer
- Men can also be affected by breast cancer, with 1 out of 125 cases male

Monday the 24th of October is Pink Ribbon Day. I'll be out in force with my pink ribbon proudly displayed. Early detection and continued research is our best bet for a cancer free future; so spread the word and lets save the ta ta's!! :)
If you want to get involved with fund raising for this awesome cause, check out the National Breast Cancer Foundation. For tips on self-examination and information about mammograms and screening, go to www.breastcancer.org and get info-ed up!

OOTD: A day at the beach
This is the last week of our house sitting job and we have actually become quite attached to the puppy, Bella, who we have been looking after. The weather is warming up over here, so we took her to the huge lead free beach on the coast to spoil her :)
I think this may have been her first time to the beach and she went off!! She was chasing the waves and sprinting up and down the beach, it was awesome :)
Beach wear is probably my most 'eekk' outfit. No matter how body confident I get, I still can't help but get a little self-concious pre beach adventure!
I wore this City Chic tunic dress over my swimers and shorts. I have a few of these tunics in different colours (check out my red one rocked out with my leather jacket here) and looovvvee them.
This super cute Torrid pink leopard print top has removal straps; and I love a bit of strapless! :) The boardies are from City Chic and I'm digging the shorter length in them.
Dress: City Chic
Shorts: City Chic
Swim top: Torrid
This was my favourite picture of the day lol, Ben really needs some sunnies! ;)

OOTD: Abby and Paul's engagement party
September/October is my favourite time of the year. It is (usually) the perfect weather as Spring starts and love is in the air with engagements and weddings!
Here is the fabulous Paul and Abby at their engagement last weekend!
My equally fabulous bestie Emma is bridesmaid for Abby and we all had a great night full of laughs and good times! And awkward photos ;)
The house was decked in purple and white with tea candles everywhere! I loved the champers and fresh strawberries!
It was uncharacteristically chilly night so I rugged up with my favourite black trench(on that note, check out Kiah rocking her killer trench!). Underneath was this awesome Japanese print inspired ruffle dress from City Chic. It was a little big so I belted it with my fav-of-the-moment Torrid skinny belt :)
Earlier in the night I was wearing these super cute feather Diva earrings. Gorgeous, but on a windy night like this one- the feathers were going everywhere! They did look nice in my handbag though ;)
Jacket: Target
Dress: City Chic
Belt: Torrid
Tights: We Love Colors
Earrings: Diva
