OOTD: Zac's Wedding

On the weekend just gone, my immediate family all met up in Mackay for (what we thought was!) my eldest brothers wedding. We were told it was going to be a very casual affair and to come have some dinner, drinks and maybe a swim afterwards. As it turned out, the two tricksters had already tied the knot at the registry months before and this was just their party! Nonetheless, it was an awesome excuse for the two families to mingle and one of those rare occasion when you can get all my siblings and their partners in one room!

My crazy family!

The 'newly' weds!

Zac and Bec had told us to dress for a casual dinner and for the impressive North Queensland heat. I dug this dress out of the back of my wardrobe and was so glad I wore it- light, airy and super comfy. Plus it worked perfectly with this flower crown I'd been dying to wear!

Dress: old City Chic
Necklace and Flower Crown: Colette
Wedges: Target

There is something awesome about coral and purple together. I wanted to wear these mini-wedges with the dress for a little added height and I loved the way the colours smashed together. I threw on this necklace as a last minute decision and ended up being pretty happy about how it pulled the whole look into one. Sometimes the best outfits are the ones that just fall together!

(Oh hiya little blow-fly!! This really is tropical North Queensland!!)

  6. Judging from your Instagram, it has been the season of weddings for you! I love the hot pink and purple you're rocking here. I wore a pink and purple outfit the other day, and while I was afraid it might look too Barbie, I ended up loving the look. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one going all girly in pink AND purple! The statement necklace is definitely what pulls everything together, too!
