OOTD: FFFWeek Indie Designs Showcase

I've been working like crazy lately- wedding bills are coming in left right and center! And, as you've probably noticed, I've been a very bad blogger. I'd been looking through my FFFWEEK photos and knew that I had to post the last of my runway photos- they are to fabulous not to!

The Indie Designs showcase is always my favourite. Seeing what's coming next in plus-size fashion and watching the models boldly strut down the runway always makes my heart soar! Its watching history in the making with every stiletto step!

Although there were so many fantastic designers, my stand out for the night was OnOz. With structured lines and classic cuts, I was ready to jump out of my set and throw my credit card at their feet! I wanted everything! My favourite stand-outs were the scoop-neck dress and the crochet dress- LOVE!

This is the designer of OnOz Amelie, who I tracked down after the show purely so I could gush all over her! I was SO impressed with her collection!

A few more of my fabourites were Amiiee and the fabulous Youtheary Khmer. I love seeing designs pushing the envelope and creating such high fashion and fabulous pieces!

And then what to wear?! I wanted to be comfy and fabulous at this show and knew my Lovedrobe dress would be perfect. Bold red and black with sheer and puffy sleeves- it was perfect! And I felt gorgeous in this outfit!

And of course the fabulous Jessica Kane- I love this woman!!

OOTD: Torrid fall preview event in NYC

Torrid have always been one of my 'first' serious plus size brands. When I first starting getting into fashion (or more likely, realized I didn't have to wear the mumu's that were all that seemed to be available  in my size), it started with Torrid. I was searching for a costume to wear to a Halloween party and googled 'plus size costumes'. Torrid were pretty close to the top of the list. I bought a sexy little police outfit..... and 2 tops. It blew my mind that there were these cute little clothes that came in my size! No way! I can wear mini skirts and tank tops?! Who knew! Fast forward about ten years and my wardrobe is bursting with funky plus-size fashion- but it always comes back to Torrid.

When we were in NYC this year, it felt kind of surreal going to their Fall preview again. IHow did I end up here?! t felt pretty awesome to be attending an event run by my favourite brand and surrounded by bloggers and people I admire! Oh, and we got to see (and try on!) some yet to be released goodies while sipping on cocktails! I pretty much fainted and went to fat-fashion heaven! Can I move to the USA already!?

Jess pretty much rocks my world. She's hilarious!!
**I stole some of these photos from Torrid's Facebook album (check it out here!)**

Meeting Gabi was insane. I fan girl'ed all over her! She is such a babe!

Mouna and Bec just hanging out, being the total babes they are!

Kiah is so wonderful. I didn't get to catch her at many events, but she is such a fabulous blogger! Go check her out- she has wicked style!

Hosted by the fabulous Jessica Kane,  we got to see some of the great new pieces coming into stock now. My favourite being the jegging jeans (seen my post on it??? It has gratuitous boobs!!) and a funky studded vest! There are some great textures and cuts coming into season too, some wicked blues and bright pinks! I tried on a few pieces to check out the fit and as always- Torrid delivers!

Trying on some of the new goodies!!

There was so much to see, try on and play with, I was one of the first ones there AND one of the last to leave! It was so awesome to see what was coming next and seeing a brand grow so much! I wanted pretty much everything they showed this morning!

Top: Forever 21+
Skirt: Torrid
Stockings: We Love Colors
Flats: Rubi Shoes

For my outfit on the day I wanted to be bright and bold! I'd picked up this skirt on a shopping trip with Dani and Ash- I love the little pops of pink and couldn't resist adding this bright pink blouse on top! This outfit is everything Torrid means to me- bright, colourful, happy, cute and fun! And ultimately- everything fashion should be!

What do you think of the new range??

Torrid's new jegging jeans!

When we were in New York for FFFWeek, Torrid put on a great little blogger event to give us a preview of the (now released!) Fall range and let us try out their new jegging jeans and push up bras! To say that I was excited would be an understatement. I'm a legging whore and a push up bra convert so Torrid basically nailed the head on my two favourite wardrobe pieces!

I have a post ready for later in the week with photos from the actual blogger event (check back on Wednesday!), but I was too keen to share the actual pieces- so I'm doing it backwards and showing you how rad these are first!

Urgh to badly tucked in, bunched up under your jeans tops!!!!
Top: Torrid
Bra and Jeans: c/o Torrid
Clutch: Handicrafted by Me!!! (Check it out!)
Wedges: Target

One of the most underrated fashion items is a fabulous pair of jeans (and boots!). Once you find your cut/brand/style, its basically like having a 1/4 of your wardrobe sorted. I'm sure you've seen how I've LIVED in my Torrid Stiletto jeans the last twelve months (I have 7 of them in different prints now- ridiculous!!). But these are literally like slipping into my comfiest pair of leggings. They hug me, hold me and look like a million bucks! I feel sexy and amazingly comfortable in these- how often can you say that about anything?!

And  the fact they have created a new season of fab jeans, is amazing. They haven't just re-hashed the same old thing, they have created a new style that I genuinely feel fabulous in! I love that I can count on Torrid to consistently deliver new and fresh looks for the plus-size market!

Sizing wise, these are a 20. I normally wear a 22 but easily find that because of the cut and stretchiness the 20 is a comfortable fit. I wore these for four hours at the shops without any bum sag or lack of contouring. And I adore the soft feel of the material- its denim without weighing me down. I wish the two pockets on the front were actual pockets rather than detailing, but the two working ones on the back make up for it! It has a three button fly (that I couldn't resist showing off with a tucked in top) and that skin hugging cut that I love in leggings.

Bra wise. I may never buy another bra again. My boobs were outrageous. Seriously. That's too much information I know. I've been wearing a certain brand for a long time as I was so sure the support I was getting was fantastic. They looked so good, I walked around my house for a little while just in my underwear! (am I pushing my TMI boundaries??) Just so you know how bra enamored I am, here is a little GIF!

What do you think of the new seasons range??
