I couldn't wait to jump into this theme. I think it is so ridiculous that once you are over a size 14 you get hit with all these 'rules' about what you should and shouldn't wear. I wear what I want to wear, I refuse to be forced into ugly sacks because someone people aren't comfortable with my chubby thighs! So here I am breaking all the rules! Chubby thighs, pattern clashing, mini skirted, sheer top and bra showing! Hurrah! :-D
I am so in love with this Cult Of California top! Is actually part of their work out range but it is so fabulous and versatile that I've been wearing it out heaps lately! I am super excited for their new collection that is coming out later this month, so if you haven't already checked out their stock- go now!
This skirt is unbelievably comfy! And it has pockets- skirts with pockets are the best skirts! It's also super light and perfect for this stinking hot weather we've been having lately- anyone who follows me on Instagram would see I've been living at the beach!
Top: Cult Of California
Skirt: Lily and Lou
Necklace: eQuip
Flats: Rubi

How do you break the rules??
I love that top! I have seen it on a couple of other bloggers and I need it too! And you are right - why does a certain fashion sect get to determine what we can and can't wear? And why do we let them? Wear what you want. You look beautiful, BTW!
ReplyDeleteOh WOW Love your sense of fun! You could get away with that look at the right place, anything goes these days ... if it feels good do it applies. You look gorgeous as always ;~)Thank You for popping in and commenting :~)
ReplyDeleteGreat like always!

You look beautiful! I absolutely hate the chubby girl "uniform." Why do other people get to decide that our bodies are so offensive that we should only wear shapeless, ugly clothes to hide them? Screw those people!
ReplyDeleteSkirts with pockets rock, and so do you! xx
ReplyDeleteReowwww you sexy lady you!! Super cute skirt too! Xx
ReplyDeleteYour smile could light up a CITY! I always grin like a fool when I look at your pictures, I can't help it! :)
ReplyDeleteI really love skirts with pockets too.. they're just so handy! :)
Let me borrow that top :D
ReplyDeleteYou have the best smile! Great outfit! Good on you for stepping out and breaking the rules!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you how sucky it is about all the rules plus size ladies get lumped with. It's crazy. I was talking to my sister about this weeks challenge and she said to me "But don't you already break a lot of the rules" and I guess a lot of plus size fashion bloggers do because we think outside the box and we don't listen to all them rules.
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit! I keep eyeing that Cult of Cali top, and I have the same skirt in a plain black!
You look amazing as always! The skirt and top are both gorgeous. I love that you always wear your outfits with confidence and a big smile on your face. Rules are made for breaking, especially the ridiculous ones aimed at anyone with curves!
ReplyDeleteSkirts/dresses with pockets are the best! I have quite a few in my closet :)) You look great as usual!! Have a great week mama!! xoxo

ReplyDeleteUgh! Please do a post with this top with the stripe ASOS midi skirt. And like, a black patent pump and a pantent black belt. It would look HOT HOT HOT!

That outfit is absolutely fantastic. I'm in love with your top! Those fashion rules are silly, honestly. I mean, no horizontal stripes? No short skirts? No fully bare arms? That's cool, some rules are obviously made for the sole purpose of being broken, and those are among the chosen few. It's the only logical explanation! :)
ReplyDeleteWOOO HOOOO we have the same skirt! Go ahead girl. BREAK DEM RULES ;)
ReplyDeleteAnything worth doing is worth doing right!!! haha, looks great.

i think that you can get away with the semi-seethrough top as long as your bra is the same colour.
ReplyDeletethe whole bright pink bra thing is just ehhh
but i like this a lot. the skirt is really cute
HOT HOT HOT! ...I need that top by the way! xx
ReplyDeleteI have that skirt, and I love it. POCKETS! I must think of more ways to wear it.
