Fatshion Faceoff: Trench Coat

One of the things I love most about living in Australia (and the northern part too) is our amazing weather. Sure it gets chilly, but I'm never rugged up in more than a sweater and jeans. On that note, I have one trench coat, and it wasn't even really mine, I swapped it with a friend! So, for this Fatshion Faceoff trench coat post, I knew the exact jacket I was going to wear!

Jacket: Target
Tights: M Line
Flats: Rubi
Necklace: eQuip

Finding a jacket that is multi-seasonal is an absolute find! The weight of this trench is light enough that I can wear it on chilly Summer nights and still loose enough that I can layer it in Winter. Plus, with short sleeves it makes it easier to wear without looking too dressed up.

I adore this turquoise pop of colour. This rocking peplum top was only $13 from New Look Inspire, I had to hold myself back from buying one in every colour. Such a bargain and such a perfect fit!

Fatshion Faceoff: Polka Dot Top

This weeks Fatshion Faceoff theme was my pick, polkadots! I've gone a little polka-dot-crazy these last few months and I actually have this top in two colours! I decided to wait and see on the day what colour I was feeling like- it was a green day!

Tee: Lily and Lou
Jacket: Forever 21+
Tights: M Line
Loafers: Nicked from my sister

I like the masculine feel to this outfit. Its also one of those ones looks that is easy to pull together quickly and without to much worry. The structure of the jacket balances out the casual (and crinkled) tee while the cute polka dots still give it a feminine feel.

Fatshion Faceoff: Body-con dress

Hopefully you saw the rocking Torrid bandage dress I was wearing a few weeks back? If  not, well that is the amazing dress I was planning to wear for this post. One of the best things about living is Australia is its beautiful tropical weather. As it turns out, Spring has well and truly hit with 30 degree plus days and horrendous humidity; so as gorgeous as that dress is, it's just to bloody hot to wear it!

Fatshion Faceoff this week called for a body-con dress. And instead of the all-out sexy look I was planning, here is body-con dress for the everyday wear!

Dress and Kimono Jacket: City Chic
Tights: M Line
Necklace: eQuip
Bag: Found at some markets in Melbourne

It's so easy to wear bangin' body-con out on the town, but for everyday wear it runs the risk of looking a little trashy. This City Chic tunic dress is pretty much totally skin tight, there is a small amount of flare in the very base of the skirt but that's it. It totally hugs my chest and hips but is balanced out by the floaty kimono jacket and tights.

The dress is also quite low-cut when worn with a good bra, so I tried to ease the boobness with a large statement necklace. I've worn this dress out quite a few times as a full on skanked up version, but I love it in a more relaxed way as its comfy to wear and super versatile as a layering piece.

Alrighty- check out all my ladies and their body-con dresses too!

OOTD: Ghouls Night Out

As my valentine's day present to Ben, I bought us two tickets to Ghouls Night Out- a dinner and show package at The Twelfth Night Theatre here in Brisbane.

It was a lovely mid-week dinner date that was full of laughs, music and even a little magic!

We went straight after work, so I wanted something comfy and easy to switch into. I picked up this super cute New Look dress when I was in Europe over Christmas and I'm keeping an eye the website for ones a similar cut- it is so versatile and easy to wear.

Dress and Belt: New Look Inspire
Tights: M Line

The tights are from M Line- my first purchase from the company; the quality is awesome and I will definitely be buying from the again!

Also, thank-you to everyone who checked out my v-log entry for the Hello Event's Workshop ticket- I am super excited to announce that I am the very lucky winner! Can't wait for next weekend at the workshop!!! :)
