Brand Spotlight: Autograph

This is a sponsored post for Autograph Fashion

I always find that preparing for summer is the biggest fashion challenge of all. You need to be considering hot days, chilly evenings, sticky afternoons and all while still trying to look cute! Plus there is the age old how much skin to show and what bits to leave bare. I literally spend more time standing in my wardrobe like a dolt wondering what to wear than actually trying on outfits! I did some outfit planning a few years back and found  it lots easier to face the coming events with the pre-groundwork done. So, while trawling my regular online shopping haunts in preparation for Summer, I ended up chatting to the team from Autograph and have taken inspiration from their new collections to start my wardrobe planning!

Now, to be honest, Autograph has not always tickled my fancy, but they have totally upped the ante in the last few years! I have been super impressed with the high fashion and on trend pieces they have been releasing- did you see those floral blazers in Autumn? I bought all three. No joke. So I figured the best way to start my planning was to base the outfits on my four favourite things to do: lunch, weekend fun, markets and cocktails!

Autograph Fashion- Lunch outfit

I always joke that I could lunch for a living. And by joke I mean wistfully dream that it could be a reality. The benefit of nursing and shift work is the mid-week days off where I get to spend time with my girlfriends. It always feels so indulgent sitting in a cafe, sipping lattes and gossiping at 1pm on a Wednesday. So indulgent that I tend to dress up for my lady lunch dates. I already have a red skirt quite similar to this one and I know it would look fabulous with this gorgeous stripe blouse and rope statement necklace. I also couldn't resist these jewel gold sandals- comfy statement flats are so hard to find but Autograph's shoes always seem to fit me so well.

Autograph Fashion- Weekend Casual

I'm more than a little obsessed with floral pants and flatforms at the moment- they have such a great instant dressed up feel without losing any of the comfort factor. Weekends are my days with Ben and the family (except Saturday nights ;), so I like to be comfy, wear breathable clothes and be unhampered by loads of extra accessories. But I carry a side bag or back pack when we plan a long drive/shopping drip/day out instead, as I find them easy to carry all the 'just-in-case' stuff. Which is funny, because while I've just saved all that space and time not accessorizing up- I apparently use it on packing spare sunscreen instead!

So obviously these floral leggings have my name all over them. And they pair up perfectly with the simplicity of the crochet owl tee. Throw on a necklace and my comfy (but uber cute!) flatforms and I'm off!

Autograph Fashion- Morning at the markets

These chambray pants and that flamingo top are basically the cutest combo I've ever seen. I so wish that cute sunset print went all the way around the back as well though- I feel like white shirt backs are cheaters! I wanted to keep in the same colour palette for this outfit, it makes for a quick chic look without too much thought. And I love my jelly sandals for market trekking, they keep my feet cool but still offer good support.

Autograph Fashion- Cocktails

The minute I landed my peepers on this lattice sleeve top I was working it into cocktail outfits! Its such a classic and easy to style up piece. I'd be pairing it with my favourite jeans, some bright and most likely moustache accessories, then an arm party of stacked bangles! I'm a big believer in flats rather than heels, especially for a night on the town- and these moustache loafers are sensational!

So Summer here I come! As you can see Autograph have totally smashed it this season, I'm going to be cute, dressed up and ready to rock!

Brand Spotlight: New Look

One of the biggest revelations I had with online shopping was that one site can literally be a one stop, here-is-my-entire-outfit shop. I've always been a big shopper, a bargain shopper too. If I can get it $4 cheaper by going across the road, I'm half way there before you can say 'why did the chicken?'. My first (and still favourite) one stop, bargain shop is New Look. Not only do they have a KILLER plus size range, you can go there, buy an entire outfit and still have left over change to shout the next round. Want to know what I'm talking about? Check out these outfits I've put together! (note: I've changed all the UK pounds prices to Aussie dollars!)

This is my fav of the three. Geometric pink dress with funky accessories! I love the bright pops of pink and blue with the statement necklace and classic blazer. But that dress! Its a bonafide showstopper! I have a similar one that I paid over $150 for, so to get a WHOLE OUTFIT like this for under $165 blows my mind!

You've probably noticed by now that I love mini skirts, tucked in tops and black opaque stockings. This look is pretty much my staple wardrobe. The prints and bohemian bag add a real edge to the outfit and the wedges mean I can rock it from night to day! Plus I can't resist a funky little animal shape print- the stags rock!!

My three favourite words from this outfit? Wide. Foot. Brogues. I've been DYING to get my hands on a more comfortable pair of funky brogues. They are such a rad look and if you get the right pair- are heaven to walk in! I've got a blue pair that I adore, but after an hour or so my toes are screaming- these keep my fashion self and my actual self happy! This is such an everyday chilled look, easy to pull together and still cute to wear out. And even better, getting this (I'm talking accessories and all) for under $120 and your laughing!!

When we were in the UK a few years back I decimated every New Look store we stumbled across. I always took about the whole shop into the change-room with me and ended up buying a quarter. The quality for the prices is insane- I get such great wear out of them. I constantly find myself reaching for my old favourite New Look pieces (want to see? Check me out here, here, here and here!), its actually a good thing there isn't one close by- it may get dangerous! But with cheap (and fast!) Aussie shipping, I know my new outfit is never far away!

Have your bought from New Look before??

What's your favourite outfit??

Brand Spotlights: eShakti review

eShakti are without a doubt, my favourite go-to brand for perfect fitting, classic and wonderfully made fashion. And of course, the fact that all items are available from size 0-36 makes them an absolute star in my eyes. A brand that understands the need for a full range of sizes and caters for the bulk of the population is pretty rare. Let alone at affordable prices and in such a wide range of styles!

I've written about them several times and now have quite a few of their pieces on high rotation (let alone the pieces I've handed on to Suger and Kath!). Being totally customisable, I know I'm always going to get exactly what I'm looking for. Maybe I love the dress but want a different neckline- no worries!!! eShakti have you covered! So when they contacted me about a product review, I more than jumped at the chance!!!

Dress: eShakti (c/o)
Tights: Kmart
Blazer: ASOS Curve
Shoes: swapped at PSFWA
Clutch: a thrift shop find!

I chose this fabulous swan print peter pan collar dress. I requested the sleeves to be changed to this cute little cap sleeve style and changed the length to a short-dress. In hindsight, the mini probably wasn't the most practical length and I'll be ordering my dresses in the above the knee length instead in the future.

Size wise, I find their measurements tables more or less spot on. This is a size 3X 24 and it fits perfectly. Comfortable over my bust, nipped in at the waist and relaxed over my hips- like a dream!

I can literally spend hours drooling over the eShakti website. With high stock turn around and constant new items I am always finding new items that I add to my lust-list! Here are a few of the goodies catching my eye at the moment!

And even better, eShakti have very kindly given me a promo code to share with you guys! So, when you go and check out their website (and no doubt fill up your shopping bag the way I do!), when checking out use this promo code for 20% off!

WTNTLTHESN
Promo code for 20% storewide

For shipping to Australia, I use shipito.com, a mail forwarding service in the USA. They are fast and reasonably priced and exactly what I need to get my goodies home to Brisbane!

Do you have any favourite items on the eShakti website???

Brand Spotlight: Jessica Simpson

After Full Figured Fashion Week I was contacted by the amazing team who work with Jessica Simpson's brand. It took us a while to get there but I was lucky enough to be able to review one of their amazing dresses!

This dress is such amazing quality. Its fully lined and is soft to touch. It also has rad pockets on the side and is super versatile. Now, as you can see by the piccys- it is a little tight. It's a size 20 nd I really could have done with the 22. The structure of the cut looks fabulous but really clings on my belly. But! Their new collection of plus size dresses is now extended up to a size 3X and some up to a 26W as well.

When I first started chatting to Rebecca from the JS company, I didn't even know they had a plus-size range! I was so, so excited to check out their website and was instantly impressed with the range and modern styles that they have on offer. Here are some of my favorites right now.

The Strapless Floral Print Dress is unbelievable   The colours are so vibrant and Summery! And the cut is perfect- I adore dresses that gather under my bust.

I love that the designs have taken real-everyday wear into consideration- short hems with high necklines, covered shoulders with high-low hems, pockets and pleats! The styles would so easily transition from relaxed day wear to night-time going out wear. I could imagine the Red Floral Print Dress at the races or even out to lunch with some girlfriends!

So, what do you think??
Did you know they had a plus-size range??
