OOTD: Gold Coast sunshine!

Two weeks ago Problogger ( a big blogging workshop) was held on the Gold Coast and some of my favourite Aussie bloggers were in town! As much as I wanted to go, what with the wedding and our USA trip- the conference itself was out of price range this year. I did however, get to do some very cool hobnobbing and chatting on the night before it started at the Blog Chicks meet up!

Even better, before the party I crashed Suger and Dani's room at the QT (totally lives up to that name by the way, that hotel is CUUUUUTTTEEE!) and got to spend an awesome day sun baking, lounging and relaxing with those babes! 

I love this picture Dani took of us in the pool! One of the greatest things about blogging is the totally awesome friends you make. I can honestly say that I know I've made some lifetime-lasting friendships because of this little blog!  

Soooooo, the evening of the Blog Chicks event, we drank, dressed and got made up together- then hit the party! I'd been looking for a funky reason to bust out this FABulous Jessica Simpson dress- its such amazing quality!

Now I'm not going to lie- these shoes did not last long. This was just after I had bought them and it was the first wear, as hot as they are I could not go the distance. Even if the distance was only the lobby! This was also the first wear of my flower crown! I'm loving it! I'm having to stop myself wearing it too frequently! 

At the end of this day I'd felt like I'd had a week off! I need some adventures in the Gold Coast sunshine more often! 

Beautiful You Day Spa: Blogger day and giveaway!

The day after my birthday celebrations, I was lucky enough to join some of my favourite QLD bloggers for a day of true indulgence at Beautiful You Hair and Beauty Day Spa in Margate, hosted by the Blog Power Events team and Toni, the spa owner.

To say that we were utterly spoilt would be an understatement. After slipping into my gorgeous fluffy robe, I was handed a flute of bubbly the minute I walked out of the change-room- I knew we were in for a wonderful day! And by the time we left, I had been massaged, buffed, pedicured, washed, wined, dined and blow dried (lol, see what I did there! ;). I have never had a massage as wonderful as the Pure Fiji massage I had from Simone that day, my sore nursing back was extremely thankfull!

Dani is in her robe while Lisa and Rachel (our hosts) stayed modestly clothed! They did such a great job making sure we were all comfy and relaxed all day. I had to forcibly stop them from filling up my champagne glass!! ;)

It was so wonderful meeting Jos! We have been chatting over social media for years and she is just as funny and as lovely in real life too! She could also just  be extra happy right now because these hand treatments were HEAVEN!!!

In between treatments there was time for nibbles, socialising, Instagraming and of course- some lounging! I love this shot of Stacey relaxing with her bubbly on the couch!

I'd never had a facial peel before and was quite nervous at the idea. I don't know why I was worried, the whole experience was truly blissful and my skin has never looked this good before! The Image Signature Peel Facelift, was my second favourite part of the morning- after that amazing massage! I'm hoping to book in a few prior to the wedding so I can have that perfect baby soft skin for the big day!

FFFWeek: Sonsi BeYOUtiful Pop-Up Party

 By far my favourite event of Full Figured Fashion Week was the Sonsi Blogger Be-You-Tiful pop-up party. It was a really fab morning with great nibblies, 5-minute manicures, awesome giveaways and amazing company!

It was really wonderful getting up-close and personal with the brands and chatting about their new collections. I am really excited to see what Sealed With A Kiss Designs are coming out with this season- they had some fabulous samples at the event and Sarah was sooooo amazing- she's truly passionate about the brand and making clothing that suits the buyers.

With Georgette, Rebecca and Nicole- I love these ladies!!! 

Catherine's also had some gorgeous pieces on display too and I spent some serious time drooling over Sydney's Closet dresses!

Hello Events Golden Ticket

There is a really awesome blog conference next month being run by Hello Blogger Events that I  really want to go to. The tickets are $70- a bit out of our price range at the moment (what with paying off holiday of awesome and such!); but luckily, the Hello team are offering one lucky blogger a golden free ticket! To enter, you have to do a blog post explaining why you really want it and the entries are being judged on 'x-factor'.

OOTD: Hello Blogger Events QLD meet

I was very excited to attend a Queensland blog meet a few weeks ago (post awfully late I know). Held at Jade Buddha and hosted by Melissa and Hello Blogger Events, it was so fab to catch up with some old friends and meet some new ones!

Although I didn't get to have long chats with everyone I wanted to, it was so lovely to catch up and discuss bloggy-goodness!

There was of course a bit of silliness, boob grabbing (Suger and Dani- can't take you anywhere! ;), oversharing, laughs and for some reason, connect four. I was sporting my new 'happiness' necklace and funnily enough, Caroline had spied the same necklace in the markets that morning and bought one after seeing mine on!

Even though it was only a few hours- it was jammed packed! I fell in love with Sheri's dress and was delighted to finally meet Amy (who was competing in a crazy Warrior Dash the next week)! Chatted with Mrs BC and have embarrassing Amsterdam stories ready to tell Deb next time we see her!
Exchanged some awesome chats with Trudie, some laughs with Ames and we were all spoilt by Ann with her home-made coconut ice! I didn't get properly round to everyone, but Jos, Sarah, Cate, Rachel and Gillian watch out, because I'll be coming for you next time! ;)

Being pretty hot this day, I wore my chilled out City Chic tunic with leggings and thongs! Comfort and bright pink!

OOTD: Hello Blogger Meet Up Brisbane

On Saturday I finally met up with a few of the other fabulous Brisbane bloggers! I was so excited to finally exchange real words with these women that I had read so much about and left feeling like I'd made some awesome mates!

Organised by Hello Blogger Events, we headed out to Garuva Hidden Tranquility Restaurant & Bar in the Valley and for $25 a head, was super surprised with the amount of awesome food we chowed down on. Ben and I were running a little late, so missed out on happy hour, but definitely indulged in the killer cocktail list (this I'm thinking may have led to my mega overshares lol ;)

It was a really fun, easy going atmosphere. No topic was taboo and I think most of us got on really well. Mind you, a room full of fantastic, outgoing women who I know like to take pictures and talk about themselves- sounds just like me! So I was pretty sure we would all hit it off! ;)

The food was good, the cocktails were rad and the company was fabulous. The perfect recipe for a rocking night out. Although we did have to sit on the floor while we were eating. One day when I'm all famous and such (:-P), I'll write a book: The perfect ice breakers; Number One: sticking your foot in someone's lap! It seemed to work pretty well lol ;)

And of course the all important question- what to wear! I choose this super cute little Torrid bubble hem dress. I wore some tights underneath it (because of the whole sitting on the floor business) and threw my trusty light jacket over the top.
