OOTD: FFFWeek Indie Designs Showcase

I've been working like crazy lately- wedding bills are coming in left right and center! And, as you've probably noticed, I've been a very bad blogger. I'd been looking through my FFFWEEK photos and knew that I had to post the last of my runway photos- they are to fabulous not to!

The Indie Designs showcase is always my favourite. Seeing what's coming next in plus-size fashion and watching the models boldly strut down the runway always makes my heart soar! Its watching history in the making with every stiletto step!

Although there were so many fantastic designers, my stand out for the night was OnOz. With structured lines and classic cuts, I was ready to jump out of my set and throw my credit card at their feet! I wanted everything! My favourite stand-outs were the scoop-neck dress and the crochet dress- LOVE!

This is the designer of OnOz Amelie, who I tracked down after the show purely so I could gush all over her! I was SO impressed with her collection!

A few more of my fabourites were Amiiee and the fabulous Youtheary Khmer. I love seeing designs pushing the envelope and creating such high fashion and fabulous pieces!

And then what to wear?! I wanted to be comfy and fabulous at this show and knew my Lovedrobe dress would be perfect. Bold red and black with sheer and puffy sleeves- it was perfect! And I felt gorgeous in this outfit!

FFFWeek: Curves for a Cure

The second night of FFFWeek, we attended the Curves for Cure runway and silent auction to benefit breast cancer awareness. And of course, being the pink lover like I am, there were lots of pretties that I wanted to get my hands on!

With Toy Monique and Sarah on the red carpet

I love these silly photos with Sarah from SWAK and Rosie Mercardo. Such gorgeous women and time spent with them is always so full of laughter!

I gushed all over Arlinda from Sofistafunk The Skirt Co. She's here with Madeline Jones, editor in chief for Plus Model Magazine, who is wearing one of Sofistafunk's AHHHMMAAZZIINNGG skirts that she modeled on the runway. They describe their collection of skirts to be 'like the Opera, bold and often theatrical'.LOVE!!!

I LOVED Jen's hardcore clutch- soooo cool!

Ben was such a honey all week. I love him to bits for how understanding he is at FFFWeek. His calm is exactly what I need when I run around like a chicken-with-my-head-cut-off all week. That and he is also a total babe, look at that handsome face! <3

My Fashion Front babes, Gaelle, Karen and Jen

After a period of chatter, gossiping and schmoozing the runway started and we settled in for the show! The music was pumping, the models were GORGEOUS well known faces and the clothes were divine- and even better, all very different styles! Although the starting bids were mostly out of my price range, I definitely soaked up as much as I could.

Although I wanted to get into the spirit of the night, I also didn't want to over-pink myself. Something I am horribly capable of doing. I went a little bit rocky, a little bit punk and wore this outfit of pink and coral!

Dress: City Chic
Necklace: Ashley Stewart
Clutch: Target

This City Chic dress is my current HOTTEST DRESS EVER. Its one of the only body-con dresses that I feel 100% comfortable in. There is no body issues at all with this dress, the cut and material are a match made in fashion heaven!

Lane Bryant blogger style off!

You've probably read about it on a few other fabulous blogs already, but during Full Figured Fashion Week, Lane Bryant are hosting a blogger conference- starting with an online Style Off this month! So basically, the Lane Bryant team have very generously given all invited bloggers a $200 gift card, with which they are to create their own outfits to feature on the LB Facebook page! So, without further ado, I'm very excited to finally show you my $200 Lane Bryant outfit- everything but the clutch (and sunnies that I was literally sun- forced into wearing) is exclusively LB branded!

Dress, necklace, blazer, belt and shoes: all Lane Bryant
Clutch: Thrifted
Sunnies: eQuip

When we were in the USA last year, I spent a fair amount of time in as many Lane Bryant stores as I could find! It blew my mind seeing so many specialized plus-size shops in the Westfield centers. Up until last year, I used to drive 45 minutes out of my way to get to a City Chic (the only plus-size shop in the entire place!). So, as you can no doubt guess, I shopped up a storm at Lane Bryant when I could! It also made me familiar with their sizing which made it much easier to buy the outfit online.

I chose this awesome little blue tunic dress as my base item. Originally I had been planning to make a more formal, dressy outfit. But once I saw this dress I was sold on styling something funky and casual!

The black blazer was a must buy for me. The weather is just beginning to cool here in Brisbane and I had been shopping around for a jacket just like this. It's the perfect weight for year round wear and easy to layer up if needed. It also has a really rad military style cut that adds structure without looking formal.

I just couldn't resist adding pops of pink! The belt is more neon than I imagined, but I think I actually like it even more that way! I loooooooved the chance to add another pair of LB wide fitting heels to my collection! They make really, really awesome shoes and unlike most heels- I can go the distance in them! Plus they are just too cute not to buy!! And lastly, the gold necklace was the perfect accessory- length, colour and boldness, everything an outfit needs to top it off!

So, from the 20th of May, all the bloggers outfits will be up on the Lane Bryant Facebook page. And.....you guys get to vote on which style you like best! So head on over there and check it out!!
