OOTD: FFFWeek Indie Designs Showcase

I've been working like crazy lately- wedding bills are coming in left right and center! And, as you've probably noticed, I've been a very bad blogger. I'd been looking through my FFFWEEK photos and knew that I had to post the last of my runway photos- they are to fabulous not to!

The Indie Designs showcase is always my favourite. Seeing what's coming next in plus-size fashion and watching the models boldly strut down the runway always makes my heart soar! Its watching history in the making with every stiletto step!

Although there were so many fantastic designers, my stand out for the night was OnOz. With structured lines and classic cuts, I was ready to jump out of my set and throw my credit card at their feet! I wanted everything! My favourite stand-outs were the scoop-neck dress and the crochet dress- LOVE!

This is the designer of OnOz Amelie, who I tracked down after the show purely so I could gush all over her! I was SO impressed with her collection!

A few more of my fabourites were Amiiee and the fabulous Youtheary Khmer. I love seeing designs pushing the envelope and creating such high fashion and fabulous pieces!

And then what to wear?! I wanted to be comfy and fabulous at this show and knew my Lovedrobe dress would be perfect. Bold red and black with sheer and puffy sleeves- it was perfect! And I felt gorgeous in this outfit!

Fatshion Faceoff: Patent Heels

If you're a frequent visitor you probably would know that I'm not a huge high-heel fan. In fact, I'd much more likely be caught in a pair of thongs** than high heels. I just can't seem to go the distance in them. Once my feet get sore, I get wingey and then the night becomes no fun anymore, so I figure I do us all a favour and just wear flats! On that note though, I do have two AHHH-MAZING pairs of Torrid patent look Mary-Jane  platforms stilettos which I absolutely adore! Wide fitting, hot to trot and a bargain! Ah, I'll take them in nude and black please ;)

I bought this dress a few weeks ago and I've been dying to put it on the blog! It has such fabulous shape and texture clash. Plus the gorgeous tulip like cross over sheer skirt is totally rocking. I thought adding my nude patent pumps was all it needed (well, and this rad stripey jacket), and they elongate my little stubby legs, so that's always a plus!

The Ebay cull

I think it's fair to say that I do have a shopping problem!  Taking pointers from Eloise at The True Adventures of Eloise, it's time for a cut down!! Ben and I are living the couch surfers life from September (a sacrifice so I can be all Europe shopping fantastic-ness), so my epic wardrobe (albeit lots of it going into storage), needs a mega cull.

I've always found Ebay is awesome for picking up plus-size bargain pieces, so I added about 20 today! Phew! Here is a few of the items sadly culled:

I think I've listed a pretty cool range of pieces; and brands from City Chic, Domino Dollhouse, Torrid, Big W and Lovedrobe of style369! Most of the items are brand new with tags- see my epic problem! Hopefully this will put a dent in my wardrobe storage AND add a few dollars to my planned shopping extravaganza in London!!

OOTD: Helllllloooo blog world!

So after much oogling of other lovely ladies' blog posts and picture links, I've decided it might be fun to give it a go myself. I'm 25, a paediatric nurse and I'm obsessed with tunic tops, tights, Pearl Jam, Ben and cute dresses! Being a plus-size chick I love some of the UK and American plus size brands. This is my favourite dress of the moment!

 

This blue pleat dress is super cute and flattering over my belly. I picked it up for a bargain price of $29 from Lovedrobe via style369.com. My partner Ben and I went to a mates housewarming  and I felt pretty spiffy in my new dress with some nice warm stockings and some pointy toe flats! Perfect for wines on the balcony!
