Aussie Curves: Black and White

When I think about a black and white outfit, I immediately picture classic lines and a vintage theme. Think Breakfast at Tiffany's or Casablanca; and of course with that in mind, I usually keep it pretty simple and classic when in black and white. So I thought I would chuck all those pre-conceptions away and make it fun and cute!

Top and Heels: Torrid
Pants: Virtu
Necklace and Ear Cuff: eQuip

These photos were again taken by Suger when she was visiting and she conned me into taking them by my front door (complete with wind blown in leaves and flowers) - and now I think about it, I've never taken photos that show the inside of my house before.

I'm utterly in love with these Virtu 3/4 polka dot chinos. I wanted them the minute I laid eyes on them! I'm not a huge pants wearer in general, but something about this cut had me sold! And of course polka dots, I'm a dotty addict! I really wanted to style them with a shirt tucked but they really grab on the belly area so I figured a cute top looked better.

How funky is this top! The skull print, stripes and funky suspenders are super cute together. Whenever I wear it I always play with the attached suspenders. Seriously, I have about twenty photos of me just pulling on those things! I added the necklace to stay in line with the nautical-pirate like look, definitely fun and definitely super comfy and easy to wear!

How do you wear black and white???

Fatshion Faceoff: Pussy Bow Top

I adore the look of a high neck bow. I feel instantly dressed up (and funnily enough- grown up) the minute I put one on. So for this weeks Fatshion Faceoff chosen by me, I picked my favourite girly style- the pussy bow top!

Top: Supre
Skirt: Virtu
Ring: Bought at the markets
Bracelet: Pandora

I had wanted this skirt for soooooo long! I couldn't control myself with the jacket (check it out here!) and bought it full price, but just snapped up the skirt for almost 70% in the recent Virtu sales! This was its first wear and being such a fab feminine shape, I thought it would look perfect with my pussy-bow top!

As it turns out, the particular top I was going to wear is missing. So I improvised and added this little satin belt to one of my tops- I think it ended up looking great!

The cute Pandora bracelet was a present from my sister for Christmas, I really like how delicate and different it is. Funnily enough, right before I opened this pressie I had just winged loud and annoyingly about how expensive Pandora charms are. Awkward lol ;)

Can't wait to see all the Fatshion Faceoff babes in their pussy-bow tops!

Lust List: Summer Time!

The Summer time sales are driving me crazy! My inbox is full of tempting emails, the shops have huge gorgeous % off signs and every brand seems to have something new and exciting! I'm trying my absolute bestest to behave and not spend- but I sure have been doing a whole lot of window shopping!

1. Cult of California Rebirth Dress in Fiery Red  2. Pinkalicious Jelly Bean Sandals 3. Mod Cloth World Class Cookie Cutter Set 4. Domino Dollhouse Babydoll Dress in Galaxy 5. Colette Natasha Cross Body Bag 6. Shop Emerald City Rainbow Dash Leggings 7. City Chic Strappy Colourwash Top 8. Virtu Harlequin Skirt

Every time Domino Dollhouse come out with a new collection, I get even more suprised! Part one of their new Astralnauts range has just been announced and I am totally in love with the babydoll dresses!! This galaxy print is amazing!

So how amazingly awesome are these Jelly Beans Sandals!! I had a pair when I was about 10- but now I can get adult sized ones!!! And in Pinkalicious?!??! YAYYYYY!!!

Virtu make the most perfect skirts. The shape, quality and style make these beauties a definite investment. I've been looking for a fitted, striped pencil skirt for ages. They are such an effortlessly chic wardrobe essential.

Soooo, haven't seem me online for a while? It's probably because I've gotten lost on Modcloth.  This totally rad country cookie cutter is half the price that I saw it in a local shop! There is something for everyone on that website, so if you're stuck for Chrissy presents- jump online now! But make sure you set an alarm because your window shopping time will fly by!

I audibly squealed when I saw that Cult of California had released a party-wear Holiday collection. With peplum, velvet, sheer panels and sequins I want two of everything! Even better, the intuitive designs have funky added details like inbuilt chafe shorts- GENIUS!!

What are you lusting after at the moment???

Fatshion Faceoff: White Shirt

Whenever I think of a white t-shirt I see it as a complement piece not a statement piece. Although I really love that relaxed-faded-jeans-and-a-white-tee look, it's never been me. So I styled it the way I always do- as an finishing layer!

Tee and Skirt: City Chic
Belt: New Look Inspire (off a dress)
Jacket: Virtu
Necklace: Diva

I was late with Fatshion Faceoff this week (too many lights night sorting the new house). I had this post 70% ready to go already an then changed my mind after buying this totally amazing Virtu blazer! I had popped my nose into the shop today just to squiz over their sale stock; but all blazers were 25% off and I couldn't resist this wonder!

I love how the white tee sets off the whole look. Its so easy for an outfit to look dark and drag down the whole appeal. Just that little stripe of white makes a world of difference!

The most awesome bit of these photos? Afterwards, we had pancakes for dinner! Omnomnom! :-D

Pop on over and check out the other Fatshion Faceoff ladies in their white tees too!

Virtu Summer Collection

One of our newer Aussie plus size brands, Virtu, has just released their summer collection and I'm loving it! The statement prints and bright colour palette is perfect for long days at the beach and summer festivals; these are my six favourite pieces:

(L-R) Draw The Line Top, Sketchy Feather Dress, Leopard and Lace Nightie

The Draw The Line top is so awesome; I can see this with leggings and bold necklaces, rocking out at the markets. I'm loving the Sketchy Feather dress- structured and relaxed all in one.

And they have an amazing PJ range too! This Leopard and Lace Nightie is awesome! The plunging neckline and crossover bust is fabulous- sexy nightwear tick!

(L-R) Cassandra Top, Sofia Capri Pants, Heidi Tank

With summer quickly approaching, I'm always on the lookout for some classic and cute breezy styles. I adore these relaxed and casual mix pieces. The Cassandra top is perfect for the warming weather- the scoop neckline and runching detailing add an adorable twist. I'm totally digging the slim cut Capri pants with studs; I can see this quickly becoming a summer staple! Lastly- I'm loving the Heidi Tank in lipstick pink- rocking!! The cheeky neckline and flowing waist is too cute!

Available in sizes 12-24, I'm sure this collection will be running off the Virtu shelves! AND- checkout their web site for 30% off all the sale stock- my credit card is hanging its little plastic head in shame at me. ;)

Virtu Spring Collection

I got an email the other day about Virtu's new spring range and I was really impressed with the more up to trend and young pieces they are releasing. I love the way our plus-size Aussie brands have grown over the last few years and will definitely be checking out this brand over the upcoming seasons. These were a few of my favourite items:

I thought these bootleg jeans were awesome. I find it near impossible to get jeans that sit right on me, but the Anouk Bootleg Jeans look to be the perfect cut!

The jacket was my favourite pick I think. I've been trawling the interwebs for a structured jacket and I think I would totally rock this Montana Jacket! I also lloooovvveed the 3 Bird Necklace- gorgeous!

I'm more than a little obsessed with tunic tops at the moment and they are so perfect for the seasons transition. I loved the classic black Isabella Tunic and can totally imagine carving up some dance floors in The Tabitha Top and some black stockings! oooohhh yeeahhh! :)
