Aussie Curves: Heels

Nothing makes me feel more fierce than a sexy pair of heels. I must admit that I'm still practicing the 'all day wear' but my shoe-stamina is getting better! I find that obviously, the higher the heel the less amount of time I can wear them comfortably. So when I discovered these wider fitting, Torrid platforms heels (read that as: 100% more comfy), I snapped them up in nude and black! This black patent look pair is still my favourite!

Heels: Torrid
Jacket: Forever 21+
Peplum: City Chic
Clutch: ASOS
Necklace: eBay

I'm loving the bold red and yellow with the stripes. I'm trying to limit my use of this blazer because I think it's too perfect- I want it to last as long as possible! Isn't that crazy!? It's like rarely using the 'good' silver cutlery set. Siigghhhh. I think I need a fashion-intervention!

This is my new favourite necklace- if you follow my Instagram feed (and if not, come on over, I'm much more fun there than here!), you would have seen I've already worn it out this week a few times! A statement piece like this is always such a fab investment. This particular beauty I actually bought on eBay! I'm going to do a proper post about my favorite eBay shops soon, so I can share all the goodies with you then!

How long do you comfortably last in a pair of heels??

Fatshion Faceoff: Colourful Blazer

I'm a bit late with this weeks Fatshion Faceoff because I've been working like a crazy woman trying to pick up some extra spending money for FFFWeek! I am so insanely excited about getting back to New York and catching up with all the fabulous people I met last year! Anyhoo, this outfit was worn today when I went out with some of my besties for lunch. I have to admit the blazer came off pretty quickly, it was too hot to rock it all day long, but I definitely love the way the whole look came together.

Blazer: Forever 21+
Tank: Crossroads
Skirt: ASOS Curve
Tights: We Love Colors
Necklace and clutch: eQuip
Flats: Target
Sunnies: Sunglasses Shop

I make no secret of my mad blazer obsession. I have a pretty extensive range now with most of them coming from Forever 21+, they make truly fab, well priced pieces and honestly, I can't resist the bargains! I adore the candy stripe look of this jacket, I always find it hard to incorporate pastels into my bold coloured wardrobe, but the white really helps balance this blazer out.

This necklace is so uber versatile. With the eye catching colour and the statement shape, I love adding it as a real focus piece to an outfit. I wore it boho style to a music festival last week and it also works so well dressed up today- a perfect investment!

These ASOS Curve little skater skirts are fabulous!! I am so happy I snapped this little floral one up, I've worn it so many times and its ultra comfy. Having easy to wear and versatile pieces is my number one wardrobe priority. I always try and picture a new item working into my current clothes collection and these little skirts go with so much!

I've already had a squiz at my FF babes this week and they all look amazing! Go check them out!

Fatshion Faceoff: Statement Belt

Statement belts are my go to for easy to buy, cheap outfit wowers! They can take an ordinary ensemble to a punchy new level. And they draw attention to my favourite body part- my waist!

Top: City Chic
Skirt and Belt: ASOS Curve
Necklace: eQuip
Clutch: Target
Flats: Kmart

ASOS Curve have the coolest collection of rad plus-size belts- and often they are reduced or on special! This little beauty has a fab metal plate detail and spikes on either side. I love the way the spikes add that tough edge to an otherwise girly outfit. Aside from their belts, I'm also horribly guilty of snapping up almost all of ASOS' body-con skirts (like this one), they give such fabulous shape and are ultra comfortable!

I know that we will all be so different, so I can't wait to see how everyone has styled their belts!

In Review: Sunglasses Shop Giveaway!

I am not ashamed to admit that I am a sunglasses addict. Putting on a pair of sunnies is like putting on my shoes, I can't leave the house without them! I have about ten pairs of favorite frames, all different styles, shapes and patterns. So when I was contacted by the wonderful team at Sunglasses Shop Australia, I jumped at the chance to review one of their SXCU sunny styles

I chose the Classic 50's Style Tortoiseshell SXCU frames for their gorgeous vintage shape and wide-frame design. I've become insanely obsessed with classic and vintage inspired fashion lately, so these sunnies tick all my boxes! As well as the iconic retro tortoiseshell colouring, the sunglasses also have a diamante stud detailing on the outer corners of the frames which adds a cool, modern twist! Being so characteristically easy to style with an outfit, these sunnies have been on high rotation ever since I received them! If fifties' styling isn't your bag, as far as vintage-inspired looks go, you can basically find any decade on the SXCU catagory page!

I was very impressed with the quick shipping and great range of brands that Sunglasses Shop has on offer. If you were looking for luxury brands like Gucci, Prada and Ray Ban then they have you completely covered, not only with fashion focused pairs, but with sport and protection sets as well!

For someone like me, with a more modest budget, you can't go past the fabulous SXCU range for high quality and gorgeous fashion focused sunglasses. I know that buying sunnies that are perfect can be difficult (I'm all about trying things on!), so it was so rad to discover that in the specification drop down, Sunglasses Shop has included style notes which document which type of face shape best suits those particular frames! I thought that was such a handy little tip and it took so much stress out of online buying. With so many different styles available, its awesome to know that no matter what kind of look I'm going for, I can find an SXCU sunnie to match! Here are few of the funky styles I'm lusting after at the moment.

So even better news, Sunglasses Shop has kindly said that one of my readers (open internationally!) can choose their own pair of SXCU frames as well! To enter all you have to do is:

- Like the Sunglasses Shop Facebook page
- Write on their wall 'I'm entering the Wait Until The Sunset give away!'
- Tell me in the blog comments which pair of sunnies you would like to have and leave your email address

For a bonus entry you can tweet:
- I just entered @waituntilsunset @SunglassShop #giveaway

Easy peasy! The competition will be open for one week and the winner will be notified by email!

So, which pair of SXCU frames are your favourite???

Fatshion Faceoff: Cosy Jumper

Being all warm and cozy is one of the best feelings. However, seeing that its relatively warm pretty much all year round in Brisbane, although I like the feeling, usually I'm more hot and sticky than cozy. So I way prefer light weighted pull-overs and jumpers- I get so much more occasion to wear them than big cozy ones and they are easy to layer if I do get cold.

Jumper: ASOS Curve
Skirt: New Look Inspire
Stockings: We Love Colors
Shoes: Jelly Beans
Camera stash: Belkin

I wore this last night when we went to the local night markets to buy some fresh produce. I always dress comfy when at the markets, for more often than not I find myself carrying big bags of goodies back to the car! I love the feel and the print of this ASOS Curve GEEK jumper, but I feel a little lost in its relaxed cut. Fashion wise, I feel loads cuter when I'm in more fitted clothes, but again, for comfort-ness this jumper is a winner!

My fringe has grown so fast, its currently sitting right in my eyes and making me crazy! I'm trying out some new side styles, but I think they look a bit ordinary on me. What do you think about the split fringe? Any fringe tips would be greatly appreciated!

I am utterly obsessed with my new jellies!! I remember having these when I was little and have been lusting after them for years on international websites, damning the killer postage. I only just found out there is a completely Aussie owned and operated company that has been selling them since 2011. I seriously have to prevent myself from buying them in every colour- insanely awesome to wear!

I wonder how the FF ladies in the colder countries are rocking their jumpers??

Aussie Curves: Androgynous

I define my general style as pretty girly and feminine, so when this weeks androgynous theme came up, I was unsure what I was going to pull together. As it turns out, I had loads of fun bringing this outfit together and actually felt like a total babe while wearing it out!

Top: Lily and Lou via Big W
Pants: ASOS Curve
Blazer: Forever 21+
Bracelet and Clutch: Torrid
Wedges: Betts
Watch: eBay
Tie: Tweed River

The main kind of feel I was going for was a mix of structure and colour. The classic lines of the blazer and the pants are balanced out by feminine touches of colour and the relaxed fit top. And of course with my hair slicked back and the added tie, I feel like I'm channeling my inner lady-killer ;)

I adored these ASOS Curve floral peg trousers when I saw them online and I snapped them up the minute I could. I think its a real shame they are made from a jersey, in a tailored poly-blend material they would sit so much better. Albeit they are super comfy! I'm loving the bold print and the wa y they run into a skinny cut around the ankles. They also give a much more masculine shape than my usual jeans or pants.

In outfits like this, if I don't tuck my shirt in I feel like I'm getting lost under layers; plus I always feel sexiest when I'm tucked in! Overall, I'm really happy with the way it all ended up coming together and it definitely pushed me out of my usual (pink and frilly!) comfort zone.

How do you feel about the androgynous style??

Fatshion Faceoff: Underwear as Outerwear

I am insanely excited about this weeks Fatshion Faceoff post. Not only has it pushed me out of my comfort zone with knickers on the outside, it's also the first time I've worn a hint of a midriff. I'm feeling pretty fashionably empowered right now, so I hope you are loving this outfit as much as me!

Longline bra: Lane Bryant
Skirt: ASOS Curve
Necklace: Diva

I borrowed this longline bra from Nicola over at 2 Many Cupcakes. Go check her out- she is one of my favourite Aussie bloggers. Nic is constantly exploring new fashion and has mad style, plus she is an absolute ball of fun! I saw this bra top on her blog and knew it would be perfect for this post and she very kindly lent it to me. Its not something I would normally buy, but I am really loving it. Lane Bryant have a killer range of plus size bras (in all sorts of styles and patters too) and are always a fab fit. This particular one is a bit big for me in the cups, but the band fits really well. Plus the top is sexy enough that I knew it would look awesome in an outfit. Did I feel a little dominatrix in this outfit? Maybe. Am I totally okay with that- yes! ;)

I wish ASOS made more if these type of skirts. They are so easy to throw on in a rush and still looked dressed up. I have this same style in about 3 different colours. I always kicked myself for not buying this one when it was on sale, then luckily enough I managed to pick it up on eBay. It's pretty much a wardrobe staple now.

Can't wait to check out all my hot-hatted Fatshion Faceoff ladies this week!
